Colfax is a small village located in West-Central Wisconsin in Dunn County. Settled in 1864 and incorporated in 1904, Colfax is nestled on the edge of the Red Cedar River at the intersection of Highway 40 and 170.

Along with the newspaper claim to be the “Friendliest Little Town in Wisconsin,” Colfax boasts its halfway status between the North Pole and the Equator. 2008 population shows that there are 1,166 people living in the village.

Mainly a residential area, Colfax has its own school, a grocer, a nursing home and clinic and a downtown area providing many needed services. We welcome you to visit Colfax any time!
